Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cups cold water
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Fresh mint leaves, chopped (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the plain yogurt until smooth.
- Gradually add cold water to the bowl, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
- Add cumin powder, black pepper powder, and salt to the mixture, and whisk well.
- Add chopped mint leaves (optional) and mix well.
- Serve chilled with ice cubes, if desired.
Note:
You can adjust the consistency of the chaas by adding more or less water, depending on your preference. For a thicker consistency, use less water. For a thinner consistency, use more water. You can also use a hand blender to make the chaas frothy. Chaas is also commonly consumed with a pinch of roasted cumin powder on top for added flavor.
